Borough Council has a rather unusual employee he is Derek Base Senior Building
Control Surveyor. In the rather austere surroundings of the Council you would
not expect to find one of the Boroughs leading Judo Coaches but that is exactly
what Derek is. He is the Senior Coach for the very successful Faversham Judo
Club and recently he was awarded his 2nd Dan Black Belt by the
International Budo Federation a presentation was held at the Swale Martial Arts
Club Sittingbourne where he was presented with his certificate by Martin Clarke
8th Dan World Master’s Judo Champion.
So
all those builders out there who think they can put one over the Council what
