INSURED: INTERNATIONAL BUDO FEDERATION UK & Affiliated Members Including but not limited to: British Combat Sombo Association; Pankration UK; & Grappling UK.

COVER: PUBLIC LIABILITY & PROFESSIONAL INDEMNITY INSURANCE COVER
Public Liability: Limit of Indemnity any one event £ 5,000,000Excess: Nil
Including Member to Member but excluding Participant to Participant liability.
Professional Indemnity: Limit of Indemnity: £ 5,000,000
Any one occurrence and in the aggregate. Excess: £Nil
NOTES: Coverage is provided for Coaches for their IBF; BCSA; Pankration UK; & Grappling UK coaching activities to members. For payment of an additional premium, Commercial Coaches can coach non members and for a fee.
Kickboxing, Muay Thai, MMA & Total Combat disciplines are excluded. This cover is intended for mat based martial arts and specifically excludes any activities taking part in a ring, cage or any similar environment.
NOTES (cont./…): In respect of Ring Wrestling this activity is also excluded. No cover provided in respect of Ring Wrestling Events/Shows.
Including all Official IBF/BCSA/Pankration UK/Grappling UK run Events & Tournaments.
All Tournaments & Competitions to be run strictly in accordance with IBF/BCSA/Pankration/Grappling UK Rules, with recognized protective clothing to be worn.
All Accidents & Injuries are to be Recorded, failure to do so could invalidate policy cover.
Any Claims are to be submitted in the agreed format with the appropriate accident report forms. In the event of a claim please contact IBF/BCSA/Pankration UK/Grappling UK or info@wwsi.co.uk.
All instructors must hold a coaching /Instructors award recognized by the IBF/BCSA/Pankration UK/Grappling UK and must be approved as an instructor by the IBF/BCSA/Pankration UK/Grappling UK.
Cross Training in other sports will be covered if under taken under the direction of an IBF/BCSA/Pankration UK/Grappling UK Coach and within a supervised safe environment.
Only those members and Coaches recorded by the IBF/BCSA/Pankration UK/Grappling UK and lodged with the insurers agent will be covered by the policy.
For payment of an additional premium, Commercial Coaches can coach non members and for a fee.
Coaches failing to register all members of their classes will invalidate the policy cover provided. Coaches must record details of all attendees at each class.

03/05/2000 – Kye Hallam broke his leg at a Judo Class. Claim submitted 3 years later. Successfully defended in court, judgment in 2008 found in favour of the Insurance Company £19,342.57
19/05/2003 – Session ended by coach and a call for all Members to help put away mats. Steven Bland and his Partner ignored instruction and continued wrestling Stephen Broke his ankle £35,543.45

4.1.1. Death (under 18’s £4,000) £ 20,000
4.1.2. Loss of Limbs or Eyes Continental Scale as defined in the policy £ 20,000
4.1.5. Permanent Total Disablement from ANY occupation following accident. Continental Scale as defined in the policy £ 20,000
4.2. Medical Benefits Medical Expenses covered up to Not Insured Physio Expenses covered up to Excess payable for each and every claim Maximum payable per incident under this section
4.3.1. Loss of Income from USUAL occupation following accident only. 14 Day Excess each & every claim. Benefit payable for up to 52 weeks £ 50 p.w.
4.3.2. Injury Assistance Benefit 75% of Non Medical expenses or £30 per day (whichever the lesser) Maximum Amount per Claim Not Insured 10 Day Excess each & every claim
Conditions: Weekly benefit must not exceed 75% of normal weekly income.
